Dr. Muhammad Ali Khan is board-certified in Gastrointestinal and Hepatology. He completed medical school at Dow Medical College, followed by an Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Toledo, OH, and a gastrointestinal and Hepatology Fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, TN.
After completing his fellowship, he joined as an Assistant Professor in Gastroenterology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He then joined the University of Texas, M D Anderson Cancer Center and continued as Associate Professor in Gastroenterology. During this time, he further refined his expertise and clinical skills in his field. Apart from providing exceptional clinical care, he has presented several studies at national conferences and authored more than 100 peer-reviewed articles in gastroenterology, and is one of the most cited gastroenterologists in Houston. His research work in general gastroenterology and hepatology has been incorporated into the U.S. and British Society guidelines.

Outside of work he loves spending time with his wife and two kids, swimming and traveling. He is active in arranging community events for awareness of prevention of colon and liver cancer.
